TADIV was established in 1997 under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Ihsan Doğramacı and upon the recommendation of Heydar Aliyev, then President of Azerbaijan.
Its institutional mission is to strengthen the cultural, social and economic ties between Türkiye and Azerbaijan and to contribute to peace and public solidarity across the Turkic world.
1997
The foundation was established to advance relations between the two countries under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Ihsan Doğramacı and upon the recommendation of Heydar Aliyev.
After 1997
It developed into a civic platform that strengthened cultural, social and economic ties between Türkiye and Azerbaijan; for a period it maintained its institutional presence in the Bilkent University Board of Trustees building.
2019
Prof. Dr. Aygün Attar was elected president; during this period the foundation moved to its new location and reinforced its public visibility and institutional representation.
2023
A presidential decision granted the foundation tax-exempt status, making institutional trust and the donation ecosystem more visible.
